As Jim Blackwood has explained in an earlier post, steam hoses need to be higher than the heads where it connects to the radiator. It ends up that in this photo to have a 2 1/2 rise for the connection. Also small "NOTE" here.

I just had my LS2 heads off and took the opportunity to run fittings and hoses from the back to help with coolant flow. The LS2 steam pipe has a groove for the O-ring. You may have to round up an LS2 steam pipe.

A 3/8" ID line is used here to minimize flow from this area, however if restricted too long the water will boil and steam, then you''ll have air in the system after the pressures push the fluid out to the reservoir. The Steam line also runs to the radiator not the overflow tank.
